The great mughal emperor Akbar brought the carpet weaving in India in 16th century. Once the great mughal emperor Akbar brought some Persian carpet weavers to his own place Agra and since then they settled in India only. But the commercial production started after the independence. During the Mughal period, some of the most excellent carpets were created. Each carpet was exclusive and impart with the magic of colors and design. Gradually those artists became expert and every knot tied by them giving a touch of artistic beauty to his creations. In India the technique of carpet weaving is influenced by the Persian style.
